Assessment
As with the junior sections, reviews are conducted at the
end of every chapter. Formal tests are conducted at the end
of every term on a non-cumulative basis. This is to ensure
that the basics of all subjects are thoroughly understood.
The class teacher, head of the middle school and the
headmaster continuously monitor each child's performance.
Commendations are issued on a weekly basis to encourage the
children to excel in academics. Certificates and medals are
awarded at the end of the year to the most promising
students.
Art, Craft, Music and Dance
All children have an opportunity to choose which of the
above activities they intend to pursue to a higher level.
Examinations in Music, Arangetrams in dance, art
competitions and cultural competitions form an extensive
platform for children to showcase and enhance their
respective talents
Sports
Students in the middle school are encouraged to choose one
primary sport to concentrate on for the whole year. This is
done in order to give children the opportunity to excel in
their field. As usual, intensive and professional coaching
is a hallmark of the school. Several friendly matches and
house competitions are also held to simulate actual
competitive conditions. Students are also given the
opportunity to practice other sports if they so desire.
Clubs
Once a week, children have a substantial amount of time
allocated for clubs. These clubs include Quiz. Drama,
Debate, Language, Math, Photography, Eco, Sculpture,
Needlework, Craft, Journalism Multi-media, Chess and
Catering. As in every other field, all clubs are monitored
by professional and dedicated staff. |
